The tappet plate is one of the hardest-working moving parts inside an AEG gearbox, constantly cycling backwards and forwards to feed BBs and control nozzle movement. Because of that, it naturally wears over time — especially in high-speed or upgraded setups.

To improve durability and consistency, Prometheus uses high-grade POM resin, a material chosen for its excellent wear resistance, rigidity and dimensional accuracy. Compared to cheaper tappet plates, the Perfect Tappet Plate is designed to maintain smoother feeding and survive the stress of faster cycling gearboxes.

Prometheus also redesigned and reinforced key stress areas, including the nozzle contact surface, to improve feeding stability and lifespan in upgraded rifles. Several retailers also reference successful endurance testing beyond 30,000 cycles.
