If you’re rebuilding a Version 2 gearbox and want something far stronger and more precise than a standard stock tappet plate, the Prometheus Perfect Tappet Plate V2 from Bullseye Country Sport is a proper high-end upgrade part trusted by airsoft techs worldwide.

Manufactured by Laylax / Prometheus in Japan, this tappet plate is built using high-performance POM resin, chosen for its excellent durability, wear resistance and dimensional accuracy. Compared to cheaper moulded tappet plates, the Prometheus version offers smoother operation and much better long-term reliability — especially in upgraded AEG builds running stronger springs or faster cycling setups.

The tappet plate plays a critical role inside the gearbox, controlling BB feeding and nozzle movement during cycling. Because it’s a constantly moving part, it naturally wears over time, particularly in high-speed or heavily upgraded rifles. That’s why many techs replace stock tappet plates during gearbox rebuilds as preventative maintenance.

This version is specifically designed for standard Tokyo Marui-spec Version 2 gearboxes, commonly found in:

Importantly, this 4571443143990 version is NOT compatible with NGRS / Next Gen Recoil Shock gearboxes or Version 3 gearboxes, as those use different tappet plate designs and separate Prometheus part numbers.
